I am the mother of an 11 yr old boy who was born with Glaucoma, who has now been completely blind with no light perception for almost 4 years. He is interested in running and possibly wanting to run track in school next year. Would love to get some advice for him. We just got him a tradmill and he is enjoying it.
I’m 14 years old, almost 15, and I really love what you’re doing, man. I may not have Choroideremia but I do think this is awesome, and I appreciate the work you’re putting into this. 12 marathons, blindfolded for charity… that is what a real man would do.

EJ: I just saw you on the Jeff Probst show. I am so impressed by your determination and love of life. I have been raising Guide Dogs for the Blind (California) for 28 years and wonder if you have considered applying for one of these great dogs. A number of the dogs I have raised and graduated with their blind partners have run marathons with their people. Each person who receives one of these dogs shares that they have so much more freedom with a dog leading them. These dogs are available to people with limited sight as well as totally blind. I just saw you on the Jeff Probst show. I wanted to tell you that I really feel for you and I think it’s wonderful what you are doing to raise awareness about this disease. I don’t know much about it, but I feel compelled to suggest to you that drinking raw freshly squeezed vegetable juices may help slow degenerative diseases. It may be worth looking into. Good luck with everything.
I admire you for all your accomplishments and the stamina to do them. I have a son that is almost blind and we have been trying to get surgery for him. He lives in S.C. and I in N.Y. He applied for disability over a year ago and has not gotten any yet. The Dr. said he is 99% blind but surgery will restore most of his eye sight. I would like to know if there is some special organization to try and get help for him. He is now unemployed, lives in the country by himself, very little means of transportation, etc.
I have been paying his rent, lights and phone but am not going to be able to help him much longer.
I am not asking for donations from you but would really appreciate any contact information for help to get his surgery done.
We have tried the Coalition for the blind, Lions Club, disabled for the blind university in ??Columbia I believe. Many others and would appreciate any names to contact.
