A call for Writers to send in submissions to help find a cure for Choroideremia through the Time and Tide Publishing CHM Charity anthology.

Let’s write for a cure! As writers, sight is one of the most precious gifts we have, but what if it was fading? What if you had the lingering fear of waking up one day to darkness? For some, it’s a reality. Help us spread the word to stop Choroideremia.

The charity is for The Choroideremia Research Foundation Inc. The disease attacks one’s sight and, gradually, the afflicted person goes blind. There are tons of other debilitating effects, such as never driving car, never seeing a star and having sensitivity to daylight. Also, kids can be born with it, since it’s an inherited disease.

The concept of the anthology is a “chicken soup for the soul” setting. Character(s) must battle with blindness in any genre (except erotica). However, the character with the disease cannot be shown in a negative light throughout the entire story. If they are crumbling, there must be an inspirational, happy ending.

Submissions are open to all authors–published or those aspiring to be published. All submissions must be new material. Previously published submissions will not be considered.

To submit a manuscript for consideration, please follow these guidelines:

• use the naming convention CHM_Anthology_TITLE and in the subject line of your email indicate CHM Anthology.
• include a letter of author introduction (in the body of the email)
• include a blurb of the submitted story and a short synopsis (in the body of the email)
• attach a Word doc of the full manuscript, 20,000 to 30,000 words (Full manuscripts are required as it is a special project.)
